This policy explains what information Social Prey ("we," "us") collects through this website, how we use it, and who helps us process it. We keep this deliberately plain: we collect only what we need to respond to you, we don't sell your information, and we don't run advertising cookies. We do use Google Analytics to understand site traffic, described below.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to submit through our contact form:
- Your first name and (optionally) last name
- Your email address
- The service type and business size you select
- If you request a free dark web scan, up to five email addresses you provide for that scan
We do not use advertising trackers or advertising cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles of visitors.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall site traffic — things like how many people visit, which pages they view, and roughly where visitors are coming from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. We don't use this data to identify you personally, and we don't combine it with the information you submit through our contact form.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using a browser/extension that blocks analytics cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up about our services
- To perform the free dark web scan, if you request one
We do not use your information for any other purpose, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Service providers who process your data
To run this site and respond to you, we rely on a small number of third-party providers. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Web3Forms delivers your form submission to our inbox. Submissions are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored temporarily on their infrastructure (hosted on Amazon Web Services, encrypted at rest) before being automatically deleted according to their retention schedule. - Cloudflare Turnstile provides the bot-check on our form to prevent spam and abuse.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts used on this site, which means your browser requests those font files from Google.
- Google Analytics measures site traffic, as described above. See Google's Privacy Policy.
The free dark web scan
If you submit colleagues' email addresses for a free dark web scan, please only include addresses for your own organization and only if you are authorized to submit them on your team's behalf. We use those addresses solely to perform the scan you requested and to share the results with you.
Please don't send sensitive data through this form
This is a general business inquiry form. Please do not submit sensitive personal information — such as protected health information, financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or confidential client data — through it. If you need to share something sensitive, contact us and we'll arrange a secure method.
How long we keep it
We keep the inquiries we receive by email for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business records. The temporary copy stored by Web3Forms is deleted automatically on their schedule (30 days on their free plan; up to one year on paid plans).
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've submitted at any time. Just email info@socialprey.com and we'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above.
